cisco aci In band management configuration

Short overview about Cisco Aci in Band Management Configuration and what's good to know about.

In a Cisco ACI in-band management configuration, the Cisco APIC controller is physically connected to the network that it is managing. This connection provides visibility into all network traffic, allowing the controller to make real-time decisions about how to route traffic.

In an in-band management configuration, the controller uses a single 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet port for both management and data traffic. This port must be connected to a Layer 2 network that has access to all of the devices that the controller needs to manage.

In an in-band management configuration, the controller is able to manage devices that are not physically connected to the controller. For example, the controller can manage devices that are connected to the network through a switch.

The in-band management configuration is the recommended configuration for Cisco ACI.
